I AM SCREAMING!!!! Okay, not really. But my excitement for this release truly knows no bounds.

If you’ve been following the blog for a while then you’re probably aware of my undying love for Rachel Aaron’s Heartstriker books. This series features a dystopian Detroit, dragon shapeshifters, and the most adorable protagonists urban fantasy has ever seen. Not convinced? Check out my reviews for the first and second books in the series.

NO GOOD DRAGON GOES UNPUNISHED is going to raise the stakes for Julian, Marci, and co. and I for one cannot wait to go along for the ride!

Have you read any of the Heartstriker books? What are you anticipating this week? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Yesss! This is really great news, I saw it when Rachel shared it on Twitter and I’m really glad it’s coming soon because I like reading sequels before I forget all about the story. Chelsie looks badass here!

Do we know, is this the last part? I kind of hope it is, as much as I love the series, but I think that shorter series pack more punch – everything is more concentrated and the stakes are higher. I’ll be pre-ordering this for sure.

    1. Same, I’m very excited to be diving back into the Heartstriker world! Chelsie is sooo badass. I want to be her when I grow up. 😉

Hmmm, I’m not actually sure if this will be the last book. I know what you mean about shorter series, but I honestly feel like I could read about Julius, Marci, and the rest of clan Heartstriker forever!

  2. I haven’t started this series, but I know plenty of bloggers who love it. Must read one of these days! Thanks for sharing:-)

    1. You’ve got to catch up, Tammy! I have a feeling you’d really like this series (everyone I’ve talked to certainly does!).

  3. I had a feeling we were going to be book twins this week too! I know you love these books 🙂

    1. Haha, I wasn’t surprised to see yours either. 😉 This series is one of my favourites right now!

  4. The title of this one is going to make the song from Wicked be stuck in my head all day. 😛 I haven’t tried Rachel Aaron’s Heartstriker series yet but it’s on my list.

    1. “No good deed goes unpunished, no act of charity goes unresented!” I love that musical, haha.

Ooooh Samantha, given your love of PNR and UF, I think this series would definitely be a hit for you. I hope you end up checking it out! 🙂

This was my pick this week, too, Danya! I was so excited when I saw that it would be out in August. Such a good series.

    1. Right?! I’m already dying to read it! I also think these covers are an example of how well self-published authors (or at least those who are working on a self-pub project) can do with cover art.

  5. The subject matter if this book has me immediately interested!!! I will be adding the first book to my TBR pile

    1. YES! I’m so glad to hear that, Tori! I love this series, and books about dragons are the best <3

  6. I haven’t read any of these books, but I have LOVED the titles for each one! This is a series I would like to get to one day though.

    1. Aren’t they so fun and clever? I picture Rachel Aaron chuckling to herself over how great the titles are! I definitely recommend the series if you’re ever in the mood for urban fantasy. 🙂

    Lynn 😀

    1. Lyyyynnnnnnnnn. There’s no excuse! You will love these books, I’m 100% sure of it. You’ve gotta catch up so we can chat about how awesome these books are! 😀
