I feel like I’ve been waiting for RAT QUEENS, VOL. 2: THE FAR REACHING TENTACLES OF N’RYGOTH for ages, but in reality it’s only been a couple months. For once in my life I was ahead of the trend…and you better believe I’m gonna gloat about it. If you’re a fantasy fan and you haven’t read Rat Queens, you need to get on it. A ragtag group of loveable misfits doing magic, going on quests, and getting into brawls probably sounds familiar to you, but how many times have you encountered a story where that ragtag group is comprised entirely of women? Probably not often.

Based on the title and cover artwork for Vol. 2, I can tell that  N’rygoth, the floating squid entity that serves as the principle deity for one of the fantastical religions in the Rat Queens universe, will be a major focus. And I for one cannot wait! Here’s hoping that the encounters with N’rygoth result in a little bit more backstory for Dee, my personal favourite of the Rat Queens.
